Bernice Bornstein sells the Boston Book Fair to Marvin Getman

Planning and Sign-up already under way for the November 2012 Boston Book, Print & Ephemera Show

Planning and Sign-up already under way for the November 2012 Boston Book, Print & Ephemera Show

Bornstein Shows, for many years a leading east coast trade show promoter for the works on paper field, has sold the very popular “Boston Book, Print and Ephemera Show” to Marvin Getman and the Impact Events Group, Inc.  This show runs over the same weekend as the ABAA’s Boston Book Fair and helps to draw a larger audience for both shows.

Mr. Getman’s first show in November 2012 will be held at the Dorothy Quincy Suite at John Hancock Hall.  The new facilities will accommodate 70 dealers.

Impact Events Group has been producing antique shows for thirty years and has from time to time dabbled in books.  This past year MARIAB [Massachuetts and Rhode Island Antiquarian Booksellers] asked Mr. Getman to take over their show and soon thereafter he reached an agreement for the Boston Fair.
