Steve Eisenstein, bookman and radio show host

Steven Eisenstein has a talk show about rare books on the online radio station WDBF Radio. He and I have spoken a few times, and I’ve agreed to be a guest on Saturday, August 20th.  The show will be aired live on a variety of online radio sources, from noon to 2:00 pm EST, and replayed several times over the next few days.

Hosted by Steve "The Bookman" Eisenstein, the show focuses on the world of rare books and the people in it.  The show’s host has been in the rare book business for 45 years and was also previously an Entertainment Director for various resorts. He explains, “we try to make the show informative and entertaining.”

The audience reflects a range of experience, from novice to knowledgeable in the gamut aspects of the field. The show’s mission statement is to promote the world of rare books.

The show is also occasionally broadcast from regional book fairs.  The weekend of the 20th mercifully falls between major events.

The program employs a call-in format.  This is a way for you to ask me for advice or questions you might have, and you can by tuning in to the show.  Absent more pressing issues, the discussion will focus on finding the “bottom” in the extended current decline.  It is a complex question.

Mr. Eisenstein can be reached by email at stevenabookabrac@aol.com and by phone at 305.868.5515.

Please visit WDBF Radio’s website for details on how to listen in.
