Aug. 2: Vintage Posters at Swann including WWI Propaganda in honor of the 100th anniversary of the U.S.'s entry

As their 2016-2017 auction season comes to a close, Swann Auction Galleries is going out with a bang. Taking place tomorrow (from the time of this Rare Book Monthly publishing), August 2nd at 10:30 AM Eastern Time, Vintage Posters features a plethora of material from the last 150 years. In honor of the 100th anniversary of the U.S.’s entry into World War I, the biannual sale will feature more than 100 war and propaganda posters from both sides of the conflict.

Bidding is available through the expected avenues: live, absentee, phone, and online. Registration with Swann is required.

Posters are of course a visual experience, and no words of mine can accurately reflect the material or do it justice. You'll find some highlights below, and I encourage you to browse the entire sale yourself!
