Rose City Book Fair Set for June 14-15 in Portland, Oregon

Mark you calendars for June 14 & 15.

Mark you calendars for June 14 & 15.

If it's June in the Pacific Northwest, it is time once again for the Rose City Book Fair. This is an annual event in the Rose City, also known as Portland, Oregon. Over 60 booksellers will be exhibiting their wares, which include used, rare, and antiquarian books, along with assorted other forms of paper and ephemera. The Rose City Book Fair is sponsored by the Cascade Booksellers Association, an organization of booksellers in Oregon and Washington. However, you will find dealers from the other Pacific state, California, and a few from the interior there too.

This year's edition of the fair will again be held at the DoubleTree Hotel at 1000 NE Multnomah Street in Portland. It runs for two days, with hours as follows:

Friday, June 14 - 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 15 - 10:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m.

Admission is a very reasonable $3 and is good for both days. The proceeds of the admission charge will be used to benefit children's literacy organizations.

This fair is always a great time for all. As the organizers point out, "From pulps to parchment, the simple to the sublime, a wide range of printed material will be offered over the weekend to book lovers and seasoned collectors as well as curious newcomers."
