Only One New Catalogue This Month

The coronavirus has taken its toll on book catalogues. Most booksellers appear to be hunkering down to weather the storm, rather than aggressively promoting into it. Add to that summer being the slowest time of the year and they have virtually disappeared. One bookseller has not let up on the pedal, maintaining their regular heavy schedule of publishing catalogues, and this month, they have provided our lone new catalogue. London bookseller Shapero Rare Books has printed a catalogue for “the Modern Age.” It is filled with twentieth century art books, prints, photographs, and various forms of art (mostly) on paper.
