If you are following the rare book and collectible auctions, pay attention. The volume of sales and lots has soared while the percentage of lots sold is holding at 80%+.

 

The Brunk copy of the American Constitution brought USD 11,340,000.

 

If you can, join the Boston Book Fairs between November 8-10.  Both the Antiquarian and the Shadow fairs will make appealing offers.  Many of the world’s leading dealers will be in town to talk to you about your collecting interests.

 

As to the holidays, skip the cheesecake and the extra drink.  We are living in immoderate times.
