PI(E) Day Baking & Culinary Historian Contest March 14, 2025

Petite Pi(e)s is the theme of the 7th annual Pi(e) day baking and culinary history contest.

Petite Pi(e)s is the theme of the 7th annual Pi(e) day baking and culinary history contest.

The team planning for Pi(e) Day 2025, invites book people everywhere to combine books and baking by joining Petite Pi(e) Day on March 14, 2025.

For the seventh year running The Great Library Pie Bake-Off (#GLPBO) brings together library colleagues & culinary historians from across the world to bake historical recipes from their collections and share the results, successes, and spectacular failures.

The theme this year is “think small,” aka Petite Pi(e) Day. This is your chance to experiment with historic hand pies, pastries, tartlets, or a miniaturized version of any pie you choose.

A LibGuide with recipe ideas and more will be coming soon, but in the meantime, if you're interested in participating by baking, sharing on social media, and/or joining a Pi(e) Day zoom party, please fill out this form, to stay up-to-dated on plans as they evolve.

Repost or forward to libraries and archives who may want to be involved. The more Petite Pi(es), the merrier!
