It's an old fashioned Rummage Sale!!

It's an old fashioned Rummage Sale!!

Case Auctions of Knoxville, Tennessee has prepared a fascinating auction catalogue in conjunction with their 2025 Winter Art & Antiques Sale that occurs January 25-26. For those who have a yen to browse interesting material, expect to spend a bit of time.  The range of material is broad and for paper and history collectors, these sales’ common denominators are the terms interesting, complex, and often obscure.

Here is a list of material I found appealing:

            Thomas Hart Benton, lots 143-144

            Audubon, lot 145

            An appealing painting, lot 163

            Black History, lots 171-211

A View of New York, lot 253

            A Poster – The Armory Show 1913, lot 418

An Edward Curtis image, 1904. Lot 533

A book about the Cherokee Land Lottery (1838), lot 569

            A Newton Globe, circa 1830, lot 570

A Civil War personal flag (1861), lot 607

            Lots 664-673: gold coins

            Woodstock ephemera, lot 735

As well, there are many random lots.
