Over the past few months, we experienced unusually high demand on our searchable databases. We immediately faced two choices. Increase the number and scale of our processors to maintain optimum performance, or we investigate the sources of the searches. We soon began to monitor activity and found a few players were trying to steal data. We assumed it was a minor problem. It’s not.
We’re now running diagnostic software 24-7 and we’re finding some of our members are doing it. We will not tolerate it because we can't. Creating, maintaining, and providing a database of over 16 million records is expensive. We cannot ask the honest to subsidize the dishonest.
Quoting and using reasonable amounts of data from the Transaction History database is welcome. That's what it's for. Running bots to capture data is not and is a violation of the Terms of Service. Such activity will result in being immediately and automatically locked out.

To those who have subscribed to our services over the years, we thank you for making this large and unique database of information for collectors and those involved in the book trade possible. It would not exist without you.
