19 Book Catalogues Reviewed In Section Two

There are 19 catalogues reviewed in Section Two.

There are 19 catalogues reviewed in Section Two.

This month we review 19 new bookseller catalogues in Section Two. We have several catalogues that offer Americana - from Kaaterskill Books, David Lesser Antiquarian Books, and Oak Knoll Books. Seth Kaller is focused on historic American documents, while Gene Baade targets the American West. Moving north, we have a catalogue of Canadiana and the Arctic from Bjarne Tokerud Bookseller.

Next we hit the road, or sea, with voyages and travels from Helen Kahn Rare Books. Or, we can travel back in time with 18th century works from Jarndyce Antiquarian Booksellers, or books and manuscripts from 1499-1989 from Libreria de Antano. A shorter time trip, back only to last month, will reveal the books Librairie Thomas-Scheler brought to the recent show at the Grand Palais in Paris.

For some entertaining reading to take along, there is literature, mystery and film from James Pepper Rare Books. For further reading, there is more literature from Bernard Shapero Rare Books. The books can get a bit weightier with legal history from the Lawbook Exchange, or the William Reese Company's collection of works on the topic of abolition.

Less topical collections we will just call a "variety" of books are available from Lowry-James Rare Prints and Books, Waverly Books, and John Michael Lang Fine Books. The Arader Galleries has published a new Directors' Report, while Hes and DeGraaf Publishers offers recent and reprinted old bibliographies and other book-related works.
