Description Mr. Holliday [1895 - 1977] built a significant collection of western Americana, much of which he gave to the Arizona Historical Society towards the end of his life. In addition, in 1954 he sent to auction an extraordinary array of material that comprised this very important sale.

Mr. Holliday's collection was built with the help of leading dealers of his time: Glen Dawson of Los Angeles, Edward Eberstadt of New York and David MaGee of San Francisco.
