Source Title
Description Founded in 1985, Calabasas Hills, California, auctioneer Profiles in History has grown to be a national leader in the field of historical autographs, letters, documents, vintage signed photographs and manuscripts. The firm's owner, Joseph Maddalena, was from an early age a collector and entrepreneur in the field of collectibles. After college, he used those instincts to develop a business in collectibles.

Taking advantage of the location near Hollywood, in 1996 Maddalena held his first auction of Hollywood artifacts. Profiles in History has since become a major auctioneer of items related to film, television, and popular music, while remaining committed to sales of high-end rare books, historical documents, and signed material.
