Description Stair Galleries was incorporated in June 2001. The company quickly established itself as a full-service auction house equipped to handle the sale of a single item or an entire estate. In our first year and a half of business we sold over 3 thousand lots of fine estate antiques, fine art and decorations for over 3 million dollars. In our May 2002 sale we set a world record for the artist Paul Seifert, selling his watercolor depiction of a Wisconsin farm for $66,700. We have handled property from important estates and collections including Fred Hughes, Andy Warhol's business manager; Senator and Mrs. Terry Carpenter of Nebraska; the Elizabeth Arden Corporate collection; the collection of Anthony Ingrao, Inc. and the estates of Walter Rotan and Warren C. Fett.
