The pace of auctions is slow, the impetus to consign muted, the houses grateful for a few extra weeks to restore energy after a mixed fall.  Nevertheless two sales are on the block and they are the first to automatically incorporate images in the upcoming auctions search on AE.  Congratulations to them both:  New England Auctions selling a nice selection this Tuesday - A Fine Winter Miscellany the 18th  and PBA, Pacific Book Auctions, selling Fine Americana: The Northwest Library of John M. McClelland, Jr., with Maps - a very well illustrated group on the 20th.  Images will also appear in triangulated searches and figure in the advertisements that course through the home page.

The goal is to bring listings, be they auctions or dealer catalogues, to life.  A great deal of effort goes into creating such catalogues.  It's only logical that such presentations be showcased.

We hope in the course of the year to facilitate auction houses and dealers in uploading images for all items offered.
