Auction Update Review

Steady as she Goes

Over the past week 11 auctions were archived, two denominated in dollars, one in Australian dollars, two in British Pounds and six in Euros.  Four thousand and twenty lots were offered and 2,866 sold for a 71% sell-through.  Total sales were $5,505,880., 102% of the total high estimate of all lots offered or $5,385,516.  It was another strong week.

 

Four sales achieved sales at or above 100% of their aggregate high estimates:

 

Ader.  Heugel’s Collection on May 26th:  196%;

Artcurial Briest-Le Fur-Poulain-F. Tajan.  Prints and Illustrated Books on May 31st:  128%;

Dorotheum.  Autographs, Maps & Atlases, Natural & Historical Prints, and Ephemera onMay 26th:  109%;

Christie’s.  Oeuvres de Pierre et Gilles provenant d’une Collection privee on May 30th:  108%
