For the week ending Saturday January 5^th, 2013 5 auctions were archived; I priced in euros and 4 priced in US dollars.  One thousand three hundred and eighty-nine lots were offered and 1,291 sold for a 93% success rate.  The dollar volume was light.  In one respect these sales did excel, in percentage of lots sold.  The number was 93%, a great performance for any single auction, a rare feat for five.  Auctions exist to connect sellers and buyers at market determined prices.  The focus for most consignors is on expensive material but the auctions’ other role is to clear stock.  These sales cleared some shelves.

Total turnover was $139,760 or $108 a lot.
